It really depends on the when and the why of the 3 dozen roses. If the flowers are early on ’cause he’s just trying to nail you, the T-shirt definitely wins. (I’ve been in a place a bit like that.) My boy, when we’d been together for 2.5 mos, got me a T-shirt that said, “I appreciate the Muppets on a much deeper level than you.” He’s also given me lovely flowers. I appreciate them both.

I totally cop to actually liking flowers. (I also admit to liking jewelery even better!) But if the bacon shirt and matching food is more thoughtful, than it’s not weird at all.

Here’s one for the guys – and pay attention because RE hit the nail on the head here:

Any gift given that is thoughtless or obviously out of an obligation (holiday/b-day) that isn’t thoughtFULL (I mispelled that on purpose)isn’t appreciated. Period.

We want to know you put some effort and thought into what makes us happy. And that puts a smile on both of our faces.

Bacon never hurts though.
