I dig Marilyn Monroe. For all of her beauty, for the fact that she wore a size 12 and was sexy as hell, and for the fact that she was more than just a pretty face. The woman had some intelligence in my opinion.
Yesterday, when I was feeling a bit blue, I did my best to stay busy and keep Emilee busy, riding bikes with her and loving the feel of sunshine on my face. After she went to bed last night, I was somewhat lonely, when my phone rang and I look to see an Irishman calling me. I have to say I almost jumped over the chair to get to the phone, and we had a good long talk (aaaaahhh that Irish accent can cheer this girl up any day), got caught up on things, and in the end, I was so so so SO (did I say so?) … grateful almost, because my blue mood was gone. I was happy; feeling uplifted again. Remembering that there IS someone out there that cares enough to call, even if it’s from many miles away. He is a special, special man. I love that he’s not out of my life entirely.
In the midst of talking to my Irishman, my mother called and when I did finally return her call, she informed me that I was going to be contacted by her lawyer if they did not see Emilee and sometime soon. Apparently grandparents have rights as well. Ahh mom, I do love her. After some small arguments, Emilee is now spending the night at her house tonight, which leaves me in a bit of a … quandary. Laundry or laundry tonight?
Yup, that’s one exciting life. On a good note, I’m heading out of town for the weekend and am sure that I’ll have some fun stories to share upon my return.
Have a great weekend friends.

I dig Marilyn too. She’s my favorite.
Enjoy your weekend. And yeah, I have a few stand-bys that call right when I need them. Thank God for the good ones out there, right?

Laundry can wait – go to a bar and have a cosmo! Or maybe there’s a bar with washing machines?
Have a great weekend

Yep, love MM too but never saw that quote before -perfect! I used to carry this Isabella Fiore purse w/her on it all the time – and Marilyn is my “bar name”. (shhh)
Hope you have a great weekend too. Great posts this week.

Alright, I have to pipe in here. I love reading your blog (and the comments) for a peek into the exciting life. Really, you do laundry on your night off, too? At least I hope you don’t turn all your good bras pink. Not that I know anyone who did that this week on her night off. I’m just speaking hypothetically. Happy weekend, and thanks for letting me peek in on the great blog. Back to lurking now.

Syd, I’m happy that you came out of lurkdom! And I did indeed, do laundry last night. All my bra’s are the original color, but give it time. I have no doubts that would be something that I managed to do.
