I did not have her vaccinated against the chicken pox, nope. It is THE only vaccination that she has not had. Figures. However, our plan was to get her vaccinated before kindergarden, which is this fall. Her appointment is in a couple of weeks. So, now she doesn't need the vaccination. Her strain of chicken pox is VERY light ... really mild compared to when I had it. And she hasn't had a fever, or a sore throat. She is happily poxed. ;)

Littleman was vaccinated for chicken pox...I waited and waited, he was around kids who had them all of the time, but he never got them. so I just went ahead and had him vaccinated.

ooh, qt. our babysitter had the pox a month ago. here is what i learned:
-a lot of kids have not been vaxd b/c it is not a 'deadly' disease, so many parents feared the vax more than the pox. those who are not vaxd seek out those with the pox so they can get the pox (natural vax) before they are too old
-you can still spread the pox even if you already had it , you can spread it to others thru casual contact for 10-14 days!
-most of the kids our age have had onyl half the vax (not the booster) so if they get the pox, it is usually mild
-poor em. wish we were there. we would come play

and YEs. he would do you wihtout a second thought. kid is a bonus. the question is, how good would it be with all those chemicals?

I've already had the pox so you could pack Em up and visit me. And then just stay as I am closer to NJ than you.

Also, I'm working on it. I've trained myself otherwise, but I'm working on it.

chickenpox - better now than later. I got them in graduate school, and it was painful as hell! I looked like a monster, too. Apparently, my housemate gave them too me, even though he didn't have them (he had them as a kid). He carried them from one of his buddies on the wrestling team to me. Delightful.

Hope she gets better soon!
